European Judo Union joins fans in criticizing Spaniard Sergio Ramos for taking down Mo Salah during Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League final.
The martial art move called ‘waki-gatame’ technique forced the Egyptian international off with a shoulder injury on the half-hour mark. Ramos was not booked for the foul.
According to the pros, Ramos’s move on the Egyptian forward in Saturday’s Champions League final would be outlawed in their martial art.
Elsewhere, fans have set up a petition which has over 300,000 signatures calling for Ramos to be punished, while Egyptian lawyer Bassem Wahba has reportedly launched a staggering €1 billion lawsuit against the Spaniard centre-back.
