Instagram planning a hour-long video post for users
Instagram users should get ready for an hour long video post to their followers.
Facebook subsidiary Instagram is planning to provide an hour-long video content for its users on the app according to the Wall Street Journal. This will be a huge leap from the present one-minute limit for video content.
The move could see the photo and video sharing app compete heavily with YouTube, which is still the most used online platform used by teenagers. There’s no word on when the rollout would happen, but it would be within the app.
The effort has been accompanied by talks with creators and producers to make “long-form” video specifically for Instagram, the paper wrote.
The app presently has about 800 million monthly active users.
