Ahmed Musa Signs 4-yr deal with Saudi club Al-Nassr
Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa has concluded a deal with Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr the club management announced on Friday.
Musa left premier league side Leicester where he signed a record deal of £16m from CSKA Moscow in 2016. He struggled to make an impact with the then-English champions and spent last season back on loan at the Russian team.
“The Al-Nassr club management has finalised the transfer for the star of the Nigerian team and English club Leicester City, Ahmed Musa, on a four-year deal,” the Saudi club wrote on Twitter.
The deal is reportedly worth an initial £14.8m, which could rise to £25m.
Musa netted a stunning double at the World Cup in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Iceland, although the Super Eagles were still knocked out in the group stage.
Musa became the first Nigerian to score more than once in a FIFA World Cup match, after scoring twice against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He is also the first Nigerian to score in two FIFA World Cup competitions, after scoring twice against Iceland in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
